Overview
Shopping Rent a Car is a vehicle rental company in Ponta Grossa that needed a digital presence to present its plans and make it easy for clients to get in touch. The site organizes the available plans and directs interested users straight to WhatsApp with the pre-selected plan — reducing friction between intent and contact.
This was my first project as an intern at Agência Ade!. Built with Next.js and JavaScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, and integrated with WordPress as a CMS. Hosted on Vercel. From this project on, I treated SEO, performance, and responsiveness as part of the development process rather than afterthoughts.

Challenge
I had never consumed an API before. Integrating the front-end with WordPress as a CMS — fetching plan data and rendering it dynamically — required learning in practice how HTTP requests work and how to structure a component that depends on external data. Following the proposed design faithfully also presented a specific challenge: the carousels had behaviors I wasn't yet familiar with, and understanding their classes and properties took time.

Solution
With guidance from colleagues Pedro, Victor, and Ramon, I learned the WordPress API integration and how to structure the carousels correctly. This was the project where I understood in practice the difference between static and dynamic data, and where I started treating SEO and performance as a natural part of the development process.
